Mayb Abelson is a passionate and visionary leader with over 10 years of experience in the humanitarian sector, self-reliance training, entrepreneurship, trade promotion, and blue economy advocate.
She is the founder and president of the Black Diaspora Trade Mission Association (BDTMA), a non-profit organization that promotes economic empowerment and self-reliance through trade and investment between African countries and the global black diaspora. Mayb is the Chief Executive Officer and plays a pivotal role in promoting the responsible use and conservation of ocean resources while fostering economic growth, innovation, and resilience in coastal communities.
She also founded Zayin Zeta Company Limited, which specializes in discovering business growth strategies and building stronger networking systems for start-ups. Additionally, Mayb is a life coach and women's empowerment advocate who has mentored and inspired many girls and women to achieve their personal and professional goals.
